The Dark Season to many is a time of letting go, of contemplation. It can be a time to deal with things under the surface, to explore closer communion with our helping spirits or a time to rest in the womb of the great mother. For many cultures the Season of Dark is in the realm of the Crone, she who gives life and takes it away. Death is our friend and needed to pass beyond that which does not serve us any more.

It is not uncommon for people to struggle with depression in the Fall. This can be partly caused by not being in sync with or open to the Season. I believe that the forces of the season can be so strong that if we do not have a clear intention in how to work with them, it is possible to be swept up and blown to places that are more difficult than they have to be.

Instead of fighting this natural season, let's embrace the mystery
and nurturing aspects of the deep cave together.

The format will still be in line with Turtle Spirit Jam, with an opening and then spirit jam for the rest of the session. However, there will be no break in the drumming

Feel free to bring something to put on the altar representing your intention for the evening.
There will be a way to make offerings provided, through dirt and salt.

We will need a strong, steady heartbeat for the whole evening.
